Er zijn momenteel vijf studio-leden bij MAPA aangesloten die werken aan hun artistieke profilering. MAPA begeleidt de leden twee jaar lang in het maakproces, de productie, de ontwikkeling en de daar bijbehorende publieksopbouw.
MAPA-lid word je door deelname aan de door Studio aangeboden trainingen, open workshops en Salons. Leden worden geselecteerd op hun motivatie, artistieke potentie en hun vermogen tot samenwerken. De leden ontwikkelen binnen de studio samenwerkingsverbanden. Door de diversiteit van de leden komen zo verschillende podium- kunst-disciplines bij elkaar. Alle MAPA leden zullen het komende jaar een eigen Salon-programma presenteren.
Een MAPA vriend draagt bij aan het MAPA productiefonds.
Uit het productiefonds worden middelen en wervingsmateriaal betaald (decor, kostuum, projectie, flyyers, posters, reiskosten etc), waarmee de leden hun eerste producties kunnen maken en presenteren.
MAPAvriend word je al vanaf € 25. Je kan ook een productie adopteren. We gaan uit van productiebudgetten van max. € 3000.
Production Facility Lab program is continuously open for artists, who seek professional circumstances and guidance for developing their ideas within a short periode.
Production Facility Lab is offering professional help by technical facilitaties and studio space, expertise, guidance/coaching based on the applicant's request, it is for one production. It can be for one phase of the creating process, or it can be the whole process: from the incubation phase to the premiere or test performance.
The residency is over a longer periode (1 or 2 year program), for artistic and entrepreneurial development as a freelance artist. Includes technical facilities, space, mentorship in all aspects, coaching and includes special programs (workshops participations).
After traveling over 20 years as a mobile academy in East - Central Europe, MAPA is preparing a bigger step:
Taiwan Exchange project.
Initiated by the MAPA residence. Yung-Tuan Ku: "The aim is to introduce the new way of working in performing arts focusing on training, research, content, innovation, democratic pedagogy, freedom of creation, audience development and artistic entrepreneurship in Taiwan. Most importantly building a bridge between Dutch and Taiwanese music theatre."
The first action program as an introduction had been happening in Taipei between January 16 - January 22 2017.
