PPP is a collaboration project between MAPA and 37PK Haarlem, culminating in public performances, executed in two phases and an introduction Seminar as a kick off start.
Summary
Whereas 37PK focuses on the support of visual artists as a platform for the arts, Studio MAPA Nederland is a theatre laboratory for young performing artists. These two organisations in Haarlem, in the Netherlands, are joining their forces in PPP. The boundaries between the disciplines of performing art and performative stage art, are being reviewed and elaborated in short public performances in the form of joint trainings, workshops and individual mentoring on location, where being focused on the production and performance design. A group of 5-8 professional (visual) artists will follow an intensive range of workshops, trainings and coachings in MAPA's studio. With 25 years experience, MAPA teachers help participants to discover and develop their own strengths Studio MAPA Nl, with its fully equipped theatre studio, offers a test garden or experimental place for performers who want to make meaningful performances. During the course, artists will work on their public performance(s) at MAPA and 37PK, depending on their performance to be developed. During the course, they investigate ways to express their artistic based principles in exciting, dynamic and weighted realtionship between performer and audience.
