'Venus Unchained'
Sanne Krijgsman’s profession originates from dance and theatre. During her postgraduate study in MAPA, she got fascinated by working with light, projection scenography and musicality of movement. Important part of the training is object animation, one of the specialisms of Michael Helmerhorst and Ide van Heiningen.
In 'Venus Unchained', Sanne shows her personal theatre language, which she developed in MAPA during the last two years.
The result is a mixture of visual art and physical performance.
The program is part of the twenty-fifth anniversary year of MAPA, the Moving Academy for Performing Arts. Studio MAPA Nederland is a training and laboratory facility for professionals in the field of performing arts, specializing in contemporary mime, music- and movement theatre.
Since 2017, Sanne Krijgsman is studio member and follows the curriculum of MAPA to improve her performability and artistic entrepreneurship under the guidance of Ide van Heiningen and Virág Dezső.
